The zoo was printing something in color, and the printer agreed to let me add a small watercolor image in the margin. I glued the 4" wide image to a textured paper that was green on one side only.

This is the year we lost my father. He's represented here by the doll he gave Jane. Her grandmother crocheted Jane's stocking, which is lying on the floor behind her.

I've often put copies of this card on my wall at Christmas, "falling" like the black text boxes printed on the card's back.
