I think it was the man living here in the prosperous but homey Skail House who found this incredible treasure buried in his fields.

First we went into a replica of a Neolithic house to get a feel for what the dwellings were like. Then we walked a path around the actual village, looking down into eight of the nine excavated dwellings. They have stone storage shelving, box-beds, and scattered artifacts. (They would not have been open to the skies when occupied.)
