I cannot remember all of
my happy Christmases;
even so, they have made me.

In my own way, I keep Christmas well. I always decorate my place to the hilt,
surrounding myself with possibilities and good memories.

My sister and daughter (and often her young man) are with me every year. |
I bake and make things.
I send cookies and little gifts to far-off family.
Hedda spends a day baking or making things with me. |

Sometimes I travel to
spend Christmas with
family in other states.

Sometimes I have a party: last year these ladies came for tea.

My Christmas always takes
a big investment in time,
but it's all part of the season.

These days I do all this not to make new memories, but
to make a new, joyful Christmas.
