Are sea lions land creatures or sea creatures?

Flexible hips help sea lions swivel their hind flippers under their body. This rotation allows sea lions to gallop on land.  

But look at how narrow their hips are. Streamlining makes sea lions fast and agile swimmers.

Sea lions are built to get around both above and below water.
